O’Loughlin Project Engineers Limited,  (OLPE), was founded in 2002 by Eugene O’Loughlin, a Chartered Engineer, who then had twenty one years experience in various engineering and management roles, in both mechanical and structural engineering, across a wide variety of industries.

OLPE was initially set up to cater for a market niche in the design and drafting requirements of small to medium engineering fabrication companies, who did not retain their own in-house engineering design and drafting facilities.

While still retaining and expanding these services, OLPE has evolved to encompass the Project Management needs of some large multinational companies across a wide spectrum of industry from Heavy Industry (Alumina, Cement and Power Plants) to Food and Beverage companies (Dairy Processing and Infant Nutrition), and therefore Project Management has now become the OLPE core function to our clients. Eugene O’Loughlin, who is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP) with PMI, leads a multi-functional, multi-discipline team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, CAD Technicians, EH&S professionals and Project Cost Management professionals to manage and deliver projects to it’s clients.

OLPE can provide engineering design services and engineering fabrication and layout drawings, across all disciplines, to small engineering companies and right up to design and project management services to large multinational companies within Ireland and the UK.

OLPE  has membership of various International Engineering Bodies i.e Project Management Institute, Engineers Ireland, Steel Construction Institute, British Steel Construction Association and many more. It is also competent and licensed to use a wide variety of engineering software i.e. AutoCad, SolidWorks, Tekla Structures, CSC Fastrak Building Designer, CSC Fastrak Portal Frame Design and CSC TEDDS Engineering Calculation Pad.

OLPE also provides subcontract technical engineering staff to help companies to level out their workloads during periods of peak in-house work overload.
